Vent sewage or septic tank according to local codes. Do not install the pump in any location classified as hazardous by the National Electrical Code, ANSI / NFPA 80-1984 or the Canadian Electrical Code.

    V 3.04 8517799 3/4 HP Sewage Grinder Pump PIPING Piping must not be smaller than the pump discharge. When installed in a sewage system, the pipe must be capable of handling semi-solids of at least 1-1/2 in. (38mm) in diameter. When installed in an effluent system, the pipe must be capable of handling semi-solids of at least 3/4 in.

    8517799 3/4 HP Sewage Grinder Pump V 3.04 MAINTENANCE WARNING! Sudden starts. If the power is on to the pump when the thermal overload resets, the pump may start without warning. If you are working on the pump, you may get an electrical shock or the impeller may catch fingers or tools.

    V 3.04 8517799 3/4 HP Sewage Grinder Pump SHAFT SEAL REPLACEMENT Follow the instructions to remove the impeller in the Impeller Removal section. Remove the oil plug and stator cap screws and the spacers (if applicable). Lift off the stator. Remove the seal’s ceramic seat from the shaft and tap the body of the seal out of the lower motor housing.
