F-1000 Series Turbine Flow Meters
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
MAINTENANCE OVERVIEW
In clean, closed loop flow applications, turbine flow meters should
not require frequent maintenance. A suggested interval for
inspection and/or replacement of components is dependent upon
flow velocity, run time, and water quality. With 24-hour service,
visual inspection of the meter after five years has proven to be a
conservative approach to preventative maintenance.
In applications which contain more dirt or debris, the flow meter
should be inspected at regular intervals to determine the amount
and type of dirt buildup on the turbine assembly. Based on
the results of these inspections, a regular cleaning interval and

Basic Maintenance and Calibration service includes the following:
• Disassembly, cleaning and inspection of the meter's turbine assembly
• Replacement of turbines, bearings, shafts and o-rings
• Inspection and testing of circuit boards and wiring
• N.I.S.T* traceable Flow Meter Certification of Calibration
Advanced Maintenance and Calibration service includes the above and:
• Replacement of circuit boards, if required
• Replacement of flow meter stem, if required
