Using an Extension Cable
An extension cable should not be used unless absolutely
necessary. Use of an improper extension cable could result in
a risk of fire and electric shock. If an extension cable must
be used, use only those that are approved by the country's
Electrical Authority. Make sure that extension cord is in good
condition before using. Always use the cord that is suitable
for the power input of your tool (see technical data on name
plate). The minimum conductor size is 1.5mm. When using a
cable reel, always unwind the cable completely.

Warning:
To prevent accidental operation, turn
off and unplug tool before performing the
following operations. Failure to do this could result
in serious personal injury.

Auxiliary Handle (Fig. B)
Warning:
Keep two hands on the paint remover at
all times to maintain complete control of the tool.
The auxiliary handle can be screwed into either side
of the housing.
NOTE: Before using the tool, check that the handle is
tightened securely.
Assembling Dust Shroud (Fig. C)

Warning:
If paint remover is used without dust
shroud, make certain hands are clear of moving
accessories.

Open the lock (11) on the dust shroud (5) by pulling it
u
out.

Line up the arrow on the shroud with the arrow on the
u
body and slide the dust shroud onto paint remover body.
Turn the shroud to the desired position.
u
Ensure dust shroud is seated against the edge of the
u
base of the tool and close the lock to tighten the shroud
so it does not move while tool is running.
Attaching Accessories (Fig. D)
Depress and hold the spindle lock (7).Turn the accessory
u
clockwise into the bottom of the housing. Ensure
accessory is securely tightened before operating the paint
remover.
To remove accessories, depress and hold the spindle
u
lock and turn the accessory counterclockwise.
Attaching Sanding Sheets (Fig. E)
Use 5" (127 mm) sanding discs with a 8-hole dust extraction
pattern that attach to the sander with hook and loop.
Attach a sanding pad (9) accessory to the paint remover
u
as described in "Attaching Accessories."
Turn the sander over so that the sanding pad is facing
u
upward.
Hold the pad with one hand to keep it from rotating.
u
With the other hand, align the holes of the sanding pad
u
and the sanding sheet (12), and place the sheet directly
on top of the pad.

Speed Control Dial (Fig. F)
By rotating the speed control dial (2) in either direction, the
maximum speed or revolutions per minute at which the sander
will perform is adjusted. The speed control dial adjusts the
rotation speed of the pad up to 4000 rpms.
NOTE: Use a lower setting for detailed work.
Warning:
To prevent injury and damage to tool,
clear work surface of any protruding nails or other
material that can catch in paint remover accessories.
Caution:
Before connecting the tool to a power
source or after a power failure, depress and release
the trigger switch (1) once without depressing the
lock-on button (3) to ensure that the switch is in the
off position. If the trigger switch is locked on, the tool
will start unexpectedly when power is reconnected to
the tool. Hold the side handle and rear handle firmly
to maintain control of tool at start up and during use.
