NOTE: Excessive fastening torque may damage the
bolt/nut or impact socket. Before starting your job,
always perform a test operation to determine the
proper fastening time for your bolt or nut.
NOTE: If the tool is operated continuously until the
battery cartridge has discharged, allow the tool to rest
for
minutes before proceeding with a fresh battery
c artri d ge.
The fastening torque is affected by a wide variety of
factors including the following. After fastening, always
c h e c k t h e tor q ue w it h a tor q ue w ren c h .

When the battery cartridge is discharged almost
completely, voltage will drop and the fastening
tor q ue w ill be re d u c e d .

F ailure to use t h e c orre c t si z e impa c t so c ket
w ill c ause a re d u c tion in t h e f astening tor q ue.
A worn impact socket (wear on the hex end or square
end) will cause a reduction in the fastening torque.

Bolt
Even though the torque coefficient and the class
of bolt are th e same, th e proper f astening torq ue
w ill d if f er ac c ord ing to th e d iameter of bolt.
Ev en th ough th e d iameters of bolts are th e same, th e
proper f astening torq ue w ill d if f er ac c ord ing to th e
torque coefficient, the class of bolt and the bolt length.

Compensate by fastening for a longer period of time.

switched off and the battery cartridge is removed
before attempting to perform inspection or
maintenance.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
T o maintain pro d u c t S A F E T Y an d R E L I A B I L I T Y ,
repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should
be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.
