SOLID TOP
1.1
GENERAL
The large cooktop is only used for cooking with cookware.
The large cooktop (400x740 or 840x740 mm) is available
as either an MS (uncoated) or an MSE (coated) cooktop.
Each of the two or four independent heating zones has an
output of 4 kW.
1.2
INITIAL OPERATION
IMPORTANT: When used for the first time the coated MSE
cooktop must be burnt in at the max. level (rotary handle
position 10) without cookware for 1 hour so that the coa-
ting hardens!
You can identify whether your stove is fitted with an MSE cook-
top on the front imprint which bears the mark CN20.
1.3
OPERATION
Two or four independent cooking zones can be individually
controlled. The green operation display (1) illuminates when
the corresponding cooktop is switched on. If the rotary switch
(2) is at 0, the corresponding cooking zone is switched off.
The temperature of the individual heating zones can be
steplessly adjusted and controlled via a thermostatic switch.
With a no-load cooking plate, the different rotary knob (Fig.11)
figures equate approximately to the following temperatures:

The electronic control system ensures the exact maintenance
of the set plate temperature, regardless of whether the plate is
empty or has cooking pots placed on it.

STANDBY
The relevant cooking zone is ready for operation when
the rotary switch is set to a power value. At the same time,
the green operation lamp on the control panel lights up.
The cooking zone heats up at full power until it reaches
the pre-selected temperature (e.g. level 6 for 280°C).
If a cold cooking pot is put on, there is no need to turn to a
higher level for fast heating up, since the built-in electronics
immediately provide full power until the preset plate tempera-
ture is reached again after a short time.
