Care
Care for the Surface
You should periodically wipe the speakers with a soft,
dry cloth. For stubborn stains, remove it by using a
soft cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent,
then wipe it dry with a dry cloth. Do not use a rough
cloth, thinners, alcohol, or other volatile solvents.
When you use wipes, please refer to a note of caution
supplied with the wipes. For mirror-smooth finish
type, use a commercially available piano cleaner (a
polish for smooth finish). The cleaner remove the
hand marks and stains, and give a luster to the surface.
The cleaner also prevents the hand marks and stains,
and make it easier to remove them with a dry cloth.
You can dust the grille net of the speaker by using a
vacuum cleaner or blush.
Use with a TV set
In general, Braun tubes used for color television sets,
etc. are extremely sensitive and can be affected even
by the magnetism of the earth. If a speaker system is
used near them, therefore, discoloring or distortion of
pictures will occur.
This speaker is not provided with magnetic
shielding. If discoloration or distortion occurs, move
the speaker apart from the television set.
Precaution on use
This speaker system can handle the specified input
power when it is used for ordinary music
reproduction. If the following abnormal signals are fed
to the speaker, however, an overcurrent may flow in
the internal circuits, causing burning or breakage of
the wires.
a Noise produced when FM station is not tuned in
b High-frequency sound generated by an oscillator,
an electronic musical instruments, etc.
c Special test signals produced by audio checking
CD, etc.
d Howling when a microphone is used
e Sound produced when fast-forwarding cassette
tape deck
f Oscillating amplifier signals
g Sound produced when connecting or disconnecting
audio connection cables
