    4. SPECIFICATIONS ... 15 5. WARRANTY ... 16 The TRUTH B2031 are capable of producing extreme volumes. Please bear in mind, that high sound pressures do not only temporarily damage your sense of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be careful to select a suitable volume.

    We recommend that you experiment with your B2031 away from the pressures of a recording session, in order to get a feel for it. It will be a good idea to listen to your favorite CD’s over the TRUTH, so that you can get an impression of the neutral sound this speaker produces—which might be somewhat unusual at first!

    2.3 Recommended setup Even though the B2031 is an excellent active speaker, it needs to be set up with great care, because even the built-in room adaptation facility cannot make up for poor positioning of the speaker. Please try to heed the following suggestions.

    2.4 Adapting the TRUTH to the room acoustics This chapter describes how you can use the switches on the rear of the B2031 to adapt the speaker to the acoustics of your control room. However, you should try to improve a potentially impaired sound by optimizing the speaker setup beforehand.
  • Page 12 As a general rule, you should set up and adjust the TRUTH with great care. Above all, you should take your time: unlike hi-fi speakers, the B2031 is tuned to produce a neutral sound, which can be confusing when you are working for the first time with such a high-quality speaker.

    Nevertheless, we recommend that you carefully examine the carton and its contents for any signs of physical damage, which may have occurred in transit. If the unit is damaged, please do NOT return it to BEHRINGER, but notify your dealer and the shipping company immediately, otherwise claims for damage or replacement may not be granted.
