This document describes how to install and service the interposer card and OpenCAPI cable that enables
an OpenCAPI PCIe adapter to be supported in the IBM Power
The OpenCAPI PCIe adapter must be installed in PCIe slot 4.
The interposer card must be installed in the GPU 3 location on the system backplane, replacing a GPU in
that position. A GPU in position 4 must be removed and replaced with an air baffle. The system supports
two GPUs in GPU positions 1 and 2 when the interposer card is installed.
An OpenCAPI cable connects between the interposer and the OpenCAPI PCIe adapter. If you need to
replace the interposer card or OpenCAPI cable, order part number 03FP138 and replace both parts at the
same time.
