Remove the data cartridge from the
slot and close the dust cover.
• When the TAPE MOTION LED is lit or blinking, do not turn off the basic processing unit. This
may cause a malfunction or damage data.
• To avoid malfunction, do not transport this unit with the data cartridge installed.
• Eject the data cartridge when you are done performing a backup.

LED indication

Three LED on the Built-In AIT's front side signal the status of the drive and the AIT data
cartridge.

Set data cartridge
operating normally (low
speed).
Blink (Fast)
Set data cartridge
operating normally (high
speed).

Malfunction

Blink (Slowly)
: 0.9 s ON, 0.3 s OFF

backup application.
