• Do not use the control unit in the following situations:
• it has undergone strong hurts;
• the control unit is leaking
In these situations, the control unit has to be checked by a Skilled technician.
• Do not change in any way the installation conditions of the control unit; in particular, do not change
the fixing and hydraulic connections.
• Do not carry out maintenance operations on the control unit while the spraying machine is running.
• Extraordinary maintenance operations have to be done by a Skilled technician.
• The spraying machine equipped with the control unit must conform with the safety requirements
established by the European directives. This is guaranteed by the presence of the
Declaration of Conformity of the machine producer.
• Do not supply the control unit with liquid at a temperature higher than 50°C (130°F) or lower
than 2°C (5°F).
• In case of use at very low temperatures, make sure that there is no ice inside the control unit.
• Do not supply the control unit with salty or dirty water. In case, have the control unit be run with
clean water for some minutes.
• Carry out the checks prescribed by the ordinary maintenance.
As for what mentioned in the following paragraphs, please refer to Fig. 1.

For the operations of Orion and Alfa control units, equipped with pressure valve, see Fig. 3.
a) Set the lever (2) on "S" position to dump the pressure of the pump and to help its priming (Fig. 2a).
Note. The setting lever can be rotated in both directions.
b)When the pump is correctly running, set the lever (2) on "C" position to get the pump in pressure(Fig.
2b).
Note. In this condition it is possible to use spraying guns and/or an hydraulic stirrer.
c) Rotate the adjusting knob (7) in clockwise direction ("+") to increase the pressure; rotate it in
counter-clockwise direction ("-") to decrease the pressure. The pressure value can be read on the
pressure gauge (5).
d) Set the lever (2) on "A" position to supply both outlets (Fig. 2c); on "DX" to supply only the right
outlet (Fig. 2d) and to "SX" to supply only the left outlet (Fig. 2e).

• Referring to the use and maintenance manual of the spraying machine equipped with the control
unit, after any treatment carry out a cleaning cycle by letting water circulate. Never leave treatment
liquid inside the control unit.

