Machine equipped with Electric filter
shaker
One variant of each type of four machines is equipped with an
electric filter shaker. This consists of an electrical reduction
unit and a lever system that turns the filter in a horizontal
reciprocating way.
Rotary movements are about 10 degrees to the right and 10
degrees to the left with a frequency of about 180 cycles per
minute.
The dust detaches from the filter thanks to the high number of
cycles. The filter is held by a mechanical cage able to
withstand the pressure exercised by the filter itself, carry the
latter when the filter shaker operates and keep it taut during
the suction phase.
Filter cleaning can be programmed at set intervals regardless
of the degree of clogging. It can also be established by a
differential vacuum gauge, which only activates filter cleaning
when there is certain degree of clogging.
Only entrust inspections and filter replacement operations to
competent personnel.
If work has been carried out on the electrical filter shaker
system, (i.e. replacement of filter or the like), follow the
instructions below.
Once work on the vacuum has terminated and before closing
cover "4", check that the filter bags "8" and bearing cage "9"
are vertical.
When the Lever "7" fixed to the operating shaft "2" is in the
neutral central position halfway along its travel, connect rod
"5" to the gearbox "6".
Only in this way will cage "9" cover an equal travel to the right
and left when the gearbox unit is operated.
Shake filter "8" and cage "9" by hand in order to eliminate any
small positioning defects, then tighten the clamp in filter "8" to
fix it in position.
The filter could be torn and the motor of the gearbox burnt out
if this is not done.
Fix the clamp "3" back in place and refit the suction pipe.
The same lever positioning precautions must also be taken
when only the cover is moved and not the filter ring.
