NOTICE:
Do not use the tool with the driving mode
switch halfway. Otherwise the tool will be damaged and
you may not be able to obtain proper performance.
NOTICE:
The steel sheet backing thicker than 0.8mm
cannot be worked with this tool. Also note that screws
cannot be driven into layered steel sheet backing.
NOTICE:
Always use Makita genuine linked screws.
NOTE: It is recommended to select the mode
ally. Set to the mode

Air duster
CAUTION:
Do not aim the ejection port of the air
duster to someone. Also, keep your hands and foot
away from the ejection port. If the air duster button is
accidentally pushed, it may cause a personal injury.
CAUTION:
Always check your surroundings
before using the air duster. Blown dust or objects
may hit someone.
CAUTION:
Do not connect or disconnect the
air hose while pushing the air duster button.
The air supplied to the tool can also be used as an air
duster. You can clean the work area by pressing the
button on the grip end.

NOTICE:
After using the air duster, the driving force
of the tool will temporarily decline. Wait until the air
pressure recovers in this case.
NOTICE:
Perform a test blow if you use the air
duster immediately after the oil was applied. The oil
may be sprayed with the air.
ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the air hose
is disconnected and no fastener is loaded before
carrying out any work on the tool.
Loading screws
1.
Disconnect the air hose.
2.
Open the door while pressing down the lever.

Open the magazine cap.

Load screws into magazine. Set the first screw to
the feeding claw. If the driver bit hinders the first screw
to be set, turn the tool upside down (screw tip on top).
This will return the driver bit to its designated position.

Place the rest of screws in the screw channel and
close the magazine cap.
6.
Slowly close door until lever is completely latched.

Replacing driver bit
1.
Remove the bolts on the driver guide and the
magazine with a hex wrench then remove the driver
guide unit from the body.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to lose the springs, gasket,
and screws. They may fall off when removing the
usu-
driver guide unit.

Turn the driver bit clockwise while pulling it out.
The driver bit will be removed. You can use a plier to
turn the bit, however do not pinch the tip of the bit.

Insert a new driver bit and turn counterclockwise
while pushing it in. Make sure that the threads on the
driver bit catches the base.

NOTE: The driver bit can be rotated endlessly. Stop
rotating the driver bit when it is secured.
4.
Push the driver bit to the end. Attach the driver
guide unit to the body and secure with bolts.

NOTICE:
Be sure to return the gasket and springs to
the original position before attaching the driver guide
unit. Also note that the spring on the trigger base is
installed straight as shown in the figure.
Connecting air hose
CAUTION:
trigger when connecting the air hose.

Slip the air socket of the air hose onto the air fitting on
the tool. Be sure that the air socket locks firmly into
position when installed onto the air fitting.
A hose coupling must be installed on or near the tool in
such a way that the pressure reservoir will discharge at
the time the air supply coupling is disconnected.

OPERATION

CAUTION:

The utilized air pressure must be
between 1.76 - 2.26 MPa.
NOTICE:
This tool is not an impact gun, so it
requires a reasonable amount of pressing.
NOTICE:
If the contact arm is not pressed suffi-
ciently, the screw may not drive in flush to work-
piece, or come out.
NOTICE:
Always press the contact arm at a right
angle onto the workpiece and then drive in screw.
Using with the single sequential actuation mode
is recommended to ensure proper screw driving.
