Grounding the Device
Connect the chassis ground terminal to protective Earth if neither of the power
supplies are already connected.
If the ground terminal on the power supply module(s) is not connected to safety
Earth, a connection must be provided from the chassis ground terminal.
IMPORTANT
If the ground terminal on the power supply module(s) is connected to safety Earth,
a connection from the chassis ground terminal is not required.
The RUGGEDCOM MX5000 chassis ground terminal uses a #8-32 screw. It is
recommended to terminate the ground connection with a #8 ring lug and torque it
to 3.4 N·m (30 lbf·in).

Connecting the Failsafe Alarm Relay
The failsafe relay on the Control Module (CM) can be configured to latch based
on alarm conditions. The NO (Normally Open) contact is closed when the unit is
powered and there are no active alarms. If the device is not powered or if an active
alarm is configured, the relay opens the NO contact and closes the NC (Normally
Closed) contact.
