Backing up your work

Because the ADAT HD24 has two removable drive
bays, you can make a safety copy of your valuable
recordings right in the unit, as long as you have
two drives.
While hard drives can run for
thousands of hours without maintenance, and store
data without decay for many years, hard drive
"crashes" due to mechanical abuse or wear are still
possible. Especially if you're carrying the HD24 on
the road, back up your data often.
To copy a whole song from one
drive to another:
First make sure you have mounted and powered
drives in both bays. Both DRIVE LEDs should be
green. Use the
DRIVE
drive (that holds the song you want to copy).
1. Press the
UTILITY
page, looking something like this:
Util01:HD Copy
Song01->HD1?
2. To select another Song to copy, press the
<
(CURSOR LEFT)
under the Song number.
3. Press the
(L) or
YES
the desired song to copy to the other drive.

4. Press the
(CURSOR RIGHT)
cursor under "Y/N" in the display.
5. Press the
(L) button to copy the song to the
