Configuration

The configuration menu can only be accessed if the-
re is no battery connected to the BAT 490.
1. Switch on the BAT 490 (Fig. 2, Pos. 1).
 The red LED must light (Fig. 1, Pos. 3).
2. Disconnect the charging clips from the battery.

The BAT 490 switches the LCD off again after one
minute if
is not pressed.

Parameters

The "Parameters" menu can be used to enter customer-
specific parameters for 12 V and 24 V batteries for "Ex-
pert charging", "Buffer mode" and "Backup" mode.
1. Select the "Parameters" configuration menu.

Expert-charger parameters

Incorrect parameter values (excessively high valu-
es for I or U1 and an insufficient value for "o") may
destroy the battery.
The following parameters can be selected:
