Power Connections and Options

Powering the Communication Module (dedicated power source)

Primary power for the communications module is provided by the AC plug-in transformer
(see Figure 2-10). However if using the LYNXR-I, primary power is supplied by the LRR/IP
communication port (see Figure 2-3).
In all installations, TB1-4 GND must be connected to ground (GND) on the control panel.
NOTE: When calculating the total load on the auxiliary power output of the control panel,
allow 10mA for the communications module.

Powering the Communication Module (shared power source)

If shared power is desired, you must use the Model 1361 (16.5V, 40VA) transformer provided to
power both the residential control panel (e.g., VISTA-10P, VISTA-15P, VISTA-20P) or
commercial burglary control panel (e.g., VISTA-128BP Series) and the communications
module.
To wire the 1361 transformer, refer to Figure 2-11.
