Setting manner mode
Setting manner mode mutes ringtones etc. so that you do
not disturb people around you in public places.

In the home screen, M→"Settings"→
"Sound and Vibration"→"Manner mode"→
Mark "Enable manner mode".
The manner mode icon is displayed in the status bar.
• Alternatively, press and hold C until the phone option menu
is displayed and tap a set manner mode type to set/cancel
the manner mode.
◎ Focus lock sound, shutter sound, start/end recording sound when
shooting with the camera are emitted even in the manner mode.
◎ For instruction on how to set manner mode on the lock screen, see
"Unlocking screen" ( P.37).
Character input
Use the software keyboard displayed on the screen of the
ISW13F to enter characters.

Keyboard

You can use ATOK (NX!input) for Japanese, NX!input for
Korean or Chinese (simplified), or the Android keyboard to
enter characters.
Tap the character entry field to display the keyboard. Press
R to hide the keyboard.

◎ The Android keyboard is mainly used for inputting English. Japanese
cannot be input.
◎ In this manual, operations using "NX!input" for character entry is
described as examples.
