Configuring the PDU via serial (COM)
port

COM Port setup

The IP address on the PDU must be configured before communication can take place.
Set the IP address using the following steps.
Once the serial cable has been connected per the earlier procedure start a serial (COM)
session using a program such as Putty. The complete list of port settings for a serial
(COM) connection are as follows:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Programs such as PuTTY only need a subset of the port settings. See Figure 20.
