5.20 Replacing the wheel motor

1.
Dismantle the body, see 5.2.1 Dismantling
the body on page 59.
2.
Dismantle the chassis, see
5.2.2 Dismantling the chassis on page 59.
3.
Disconnect the cable for the wheel motor
from the main circuit board and disconnect
the cable from the cable brackets in the
lower chassis section.
4.
Remove the hub cap using a slotted
screwdriver.
5.
Loosen the nut and washer holding the
wheel in place and remove the wheel.
6.
Remove the wheel motor by unscrewing
the 4 screws (Torx 20) in the wheel motor
bracket.
7.
Inspect the seal (O-ring) to make sure it
is not damage. Replace the seal if it is
damaged.
8.
Assemble a new wheel motor and tighten
the screws with the recommended
tightening torque, see 5.30 Screw fasteners
on page 82.
9.
Refit nut, washer and wheel. Tighten the nut
with the recommended tightening torque,
see 5.30 Screw fasteners on page 82.
10. Refit the hub cap.
11. Connect the wheel motor cable to the main
circuit board and attach the cables to the
cable brackets.
12. Reassemble the chassis, see
5.2.5 Assembling the chassis on page 61
and 5.27 Assembling the sealing strip on
page 79. Reassemble the body, see
5.2.6 Assembling the body on page 62.
5.21 Replacing the cutting height
adjustment motor
1.
Dismantle the body, see 5.2.1 Dismantling
the body on page 59.
2.
Dismantle the chassis, see
5.2.2 Dismantling the chassis on page 59.
3.
Disconnect the cable for the cutting height
adjustment motor from the cutting height
circuit board.
