Program Type (PTY) Function

This function permits desired program types from
within the received Ensemble to be searched and
monitored.

Enter PTY Mode
Press the [38] button.
• This function cannot be used during the interruption
of the announcement/ PTY Watch.

Select the program type
Press the [5] or [∞] button.
Each time you press the button, the program
type changes.
Refer to the instruction manual of DAB tuner for
<Program Type Display>.

Search a service of the selected program
type
Press the [4] or [¢] button.
When you want to search for other service, press
[4] or [¢] button again.
• If the selected program type is not found, the
message ("NO PTY", etc.) is displayed.
When searching for a service of another program type,
repeat procedures 2 and 3.
Switching to Another Service:
Repeat procedure 3.
Another service of the same program type will
be searched.
Cancelling Search In the Middle:
Press the [38] button.

selection mode
Press the [SCAN] button.

Selecting a language
Press the [5] or [∞] button.
As for the available languages, refer to the
instruction manual of DAB tuner for <Language
Filter Search Mode>.

Press the [4] or [¢] button.

Exiting: Press the [SCAN] button.
Languages to be displayed
Select English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish,
Portuguese, Norwegian or Swedish in <Language
Filter Search Mode> (page 25) to display in the
selected language.

Select the Program Type to preset
Refer to <Program Type (PTY) Function> (page
19).

Receive the Program Type to be preset
Press the [MEMORY] button.
"PRESET" is displayed.

Select a preset number
Press the desired [1] - [6] button.

Press the [OK] button.
