    Overview The NWA570N lets you: • Set up a high speed wireless network compatible with either IEEE 802.1b, IEEE 802.1g, or Draft 2.0 IEEE 802.1n. • Use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect to other WPS-enabled products in a few steps.
  • Page 3 1 Connect Your Hardware Do the following to make hardware connections for initial setup. 1 Antennas: Connect each antenna to an antenna socket, ensuring the antennas are screwed in firmly and angled upwards. 2 LAN: A: Connect a LAN port on your NWA570N to the Ethernet port on the device with which you are accessing the Internet (for example, a router or modem) using an Ethernet cable.

    The LEDs Look at the LEDs (lights). When you connect the power, the power ( ) LED blinks and stays on once the device is ready. The LAN ( corresponding connections are properly made. If the power ( ), LAN ( ) or WLAN ( connections.

    3.2 Connect to the NWA570N from Your Computer 1 Launch a web browser (such as Internet Explorer). Enter the NWA570N’s default IP address, http://192.168.1.2, and press [ENTER]. 2 The Password window displays. Enter the password (1234 is the default) and click Login.

Use this IP address to connect to the NWA570N to configure its settings. • If you know an available IP address on your network, you can use this IP address.
  • Page 9 8 Configure your wireless security settings. The screen that follows will differ depending on whether you selected WEP or WPA(2)-PSK security. OPTION 1: WEP Security WEP Encryption: Select the strength of your encryption. Passphrase: Type an alphanumeric passphrase and click Generate to create a key.
  • Page 10 9 Check your settings. Click Finish if they are correct. 10The NWA570N applies your settings and displays the status screen. You may now reset your computer to its previous IP address settings. You are now ready to connect wirelessly to your NWA570N and access the Internet.
