Settable range
Determines the amount of video setup to be added to composite
output signal. When sub-item No.5 OUTPUT LEVEL is set to
MASTER, the same amount of setup selected with sub-item No.1
MASTER LEVEL (within a range of 0.0% to 10.0%) is added to the
composite output signal.
The setup level determined in this item has no relation with the
SET UP SELECT switch on the system set-up panel.

The menu also includes items related to the digital hours meter (item
numbers H01 to H14).
You can specify the superimposition of hours meter information on the
monitor screen through the set-up menu. The hours meter provides seven
kinds of information concerning the operational history of the VTR, which
you can use as a guide for scheduling periodic maintenance.
About the digital hours meter
Displays the total number of hours in ten-hour units that the VTR has been in
operation, with the power turned on.
Note
The accumulated power ON time is displayed in one-hour units on the timer counter
display while the JOG or SHUTTLE button on the lower control panel is pressed. On
the monitor screen, however, it is displayed in one-hour units without pressing the JOG
or SHUTTLE button.
Displays the total number of hours in ten-hour units that the drum has rotated with tape
threaded.
Note
The accumulated drum running hours are displayed in one-hour units on the timer
counter display while the JOG or SHUTTLE button on the lower control panel is
pressed. On the monitor screen, however, it is displayed in one-hour units without
pressing the JOG or SHUTTLE button.
