DESCRIPTION
Choose 802.1Q or Port Based from the drop-down list box. The VLAN
Setup screen changes depending on whether you choose 802.1Q VLAN
Type or Port Based VLAN Type in this screen. See
126
and the VLAN chapter for more information on VLANs.
Select Strictly Priority or Weighted Fair Scheduling from the drop-down
list box.
Strictly Priority services queues based on priority only. When the highest
priority queue empties, traffic on the next highest-priority queue begins.
Q7 has the highest priority and Q0 the lowest.
Weighted Fair Scheduling is used to guarantee each queue's minimum
bandwidth based on their bandwidth portion (weight). Queues with larger
weights get more guaranteed bandwidth than queues with smaller
weights.
MAC address learning reduces outgoing traffic broadcasts. For MAC
address learning to occur on a port, the port must be active.
Enter a time from 10 to 3000 seconds. This is how long all dynamically
learned MAC addresses remain in the MAC address table before they age
out (and must be relearned).
Select the check box to activate STP.
Select the check box to activate link aggregation.
