I tried to deactivate the alarm, but it didn't work. Mine only has a alarm button, not alarm/date button. The model # is ca86514
To deactivate the alarm on the Springfield CA86514 model with only an ALARM button:
1. From the normal time display, press the ALARM button to show the alarm time.
2. Press the ALARM button again and release it to toggle the alarm on or off.
3. When the alarm is deactivated, the alarm bell icon will disappear.
