The drive configuration is set for the system it is installed in. Changing the
configuration may cause the drive to malfunction.
Devices installed outside the system will be configured differently.
All of the configuration information for the C1504B 3.5-inch DAT drive is the
same as that for the C1503B 3.5-inch DAT drive
The drive configuration is set with jumpers on the option connector (see Figure 4-12). A
pin-set is shorted with a jumper installed, or open without a jumper.
SCSI Address

Some drives inchide an address cable that is connected to the SCSI Address
pin-sets .

On drives that do not include an address cable, the SCSI address is set using jumpers.
Figure 4-12 shows jumper settings for SCSI address 0 through 7. Avoid using address 7. It is
usually reserved for the host busrdapter (HBA).
