e7w PIR motion sensor test is failing

The e7w PIR motion sensor test reacts to motion being detected by the e7w 's built in motion sensor. It is
vital that the e7w accurately detects and reports motion being sensed because room occupancy is used to
control the room temperature control bands .
sensor:
➢ The e7w is not detecting motion at all, or is not detecting motion when it should be.
➢ The e7w is detecting motion when it clearly should not be (ie no one is in the room).
Possible Reason:
➢ The e7w PIR Motion Sensor sensitivity setting is not correct. Enter e7w service parameter mode and
go to the PFt motion sensor sensitivity parameter and check the value. Refer to Appendix 11.
The default value should be 2.
If the e7w PIr motion sensor test is never indicating it detects motion , it is possible the PFt PIR
sensitivity value is set too low. Set the PFt value to 3 or 4 and retry the PIr motion sensor test.
If the e7w PIr motion sensor test is indicating it detects motion when no actually guest movement is
occuring , it is possible the PFt PIR sensitivity value is set too high. Set the PFt value to the default
value of 2 if the current value is different than 2 and retry the PIr motion sensor test.
