4.4 Site Survey
The Site Survey table shows the wireless Access Point and Ad Hoc stations in
your environment detected by the 802.11 A/G Ethernet Adapter. You can click
the REFRESH button to get latest environment information. You also the select
one device from the table, and click the ASSOCIATE button to associate with
the selected AP or Ad Hoc station. If the selected AP or Ad Hoc station requires
authentication or encryption, the screen will jump to the Wireless Settings
page in the Setup Wizard section. In order to get associated, you have to
specify the correct security parameters corresponding to the device the
WLA-5000AP Ethernet Adapter is going to associate with.
Blue column indicates the connection that you just "ASSOCIATE".
4.5 Upgrading Firmware
You can upgrade the firmware of your WLA-5000AP Ethernet Adapter (the
software that controls your WLA-5000AP Ethernet Adapter's operation).
Normally, this is done when a new version of firmware offers new features that
you want, or solves problems that you have encountered with the current
version. System upgrade can be performed through the System Upgrade
window as follows:
