Playing Voices

Touch and Touch Sensitivity

The Touch function gives you dynamic, expressive control over the voices, letting
you determine how loud or soft the sound is by your playing strength.
Turn the Touch function on or off as desired by pressing
the [TOUCH] button.
Touch Sensitivity lets you set how the DGX-202 responds to your playing
strength, allowing you to customize the keyboard to suit your own playing style.
The default Touch Sensitivity is 2 (Medium).
Sensitivity can be set in the Function mode (page 75).
G Settings:
1 (Soft)
2 (Medium)
3 (Hard)
When Touch is turned off, a constant volume (corresponding to a velocity value of
80) is produced.

Pitch Bend

The DGX-202 has a [PITCH BEND] wheel that lets you change the pitch of the
voices in real time, as you play.
Pitch Bend Range lets you set how the DGX-202 responds to your wheel playing,
allowing you to customize the range to suite your own playing style.
Pitch Bend Range can be set in the Function mode (page 76).

This results in limited touch response, and produces a relatively narrow
dynamic range, no matter how lightly or strongly you play the keys.
This lets you play over a normal dynamic range (soft to loud).
This is designed for playing very soft passages, giving you slightly more
detailed control in the soft volume range.
