Hardware Settings

Measurement
This lets you set the system of measurement for weight and length.
Indications can be given in traditional units (pounds, miles/feet) or metric.
Operation

From the Display menu, select the Measurement menu.

Select the desired category (Weight or Length) using the ▲/▼ (Up/
Down) buttons.
Weight
Available settings:
Pounds, Kilograms
Length
Available settings:
Miles/Feet, Meters

Language
This determines the language for all messages and indications on the BF-
1. Five languages are available: English, Japanese, German, Spanish and
French.
Operation
From the Display menu, select the Language menu.
Available settings:
English, (Japanese), Deutsch (German), Español (Spanish), Français (French)

Display Time
This determines how long the display will remain on after the last operation
or button press. The default time is 30 seconds, but you can shorten or
lengthen it depending on how long you want messages and indications to
show.
Operation
From the Display menu, select the Display Time menu.
Available settings:
5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, 180 seconds
