• In the case that other FireWire storage devices such as a hard drive or an MO
drive are connected to the computer, "fw609e" and "sbp609e" are shown in the
column when any device is recognized. To check that the CRW3200IX drive is
recognized properly, un-mount icons of those devices, and then remove those
devices temporarily.
• If the "FireWire" item is not shown, the FireWire interface of the computer is
not recognized by the Mac OS. Contact the manufacturer of the computer.
• If the "fw609e" and "sbp609e" (or drive names in some versions) are not shown
even with the "FireWire" item shown, the CRW3200IX drive is not recognized
by the Mac OS. In such a case, contact the store of purchase or your nearest
Yamaha dealer (listed at the back of this manual).
• The FireWire version in Mac OS that supports the CRW3200IX drive is 2.0 or
later.
• The extension files that support the CRW3200IX drive are required to mount
and read the disc even if the drive is recognized by Apple System Profiler. The
extension files come with the CD writing software. For details, refer to the
documentation that comes with the CD writing software.

Install the CD writing software.
Install the CD writing software. For details about how to install the CD
writing software, refer to the documentation that comes with it.
"CRW3200E" (device name) corresponding to the CRW3200IX drive (product
name) will be shown on your CD writing software when the drive is recognized
by the CD writing software properly.
For details about how to check recognition of the CRW3200IX drive with the CD
writing software, refer to documentation that comes with the CD writing software.
