Loading Toner

Observe the following precautions when handling the toner.
•
Handle the toner carefully to avoid spilling it on your clothing or around the
machine.
•
Never throw a used toner cartridge in an open flame.
Load the toner as described below.
Procedure

Load no more than one cartridge of toner when the message
"Add Black Toner" first appears on the printer control panel.

Lift the scanner document table until it locks
in the open position.

Push in the lever shown in the illustration
and push the entire scanner assembly
toward the back of the machine. The toner
supply port will appear at the front of the
scanner.
