Printer control panel messages help you locate many problems.
When the printer needs operator assistance, the message window
displays one of the following messages:
ADJUST LCIT BIN
ADJUST NUMBER
OUTPUTBIN
ADJUST SIZE BIN
CLEANER ABSENT
CLEAR DUPLEXER
JAM
CLEAR PAPER
EJECTION JAM
CLEAR PAPER FEED
JAM
CLEAR PAPER PATH
JAM
CLOSE DUPLEXER
DOOR
CLOSE FRONT DOOR The front door is open and must be closed.
CLOSE SIDE
DOOR(S)
The large-capacity or large-large-capacity bin is not
inserted correctly.
The specified output bin is not set, or the bin cover is
open.
Check the specified input bin to make sure it is
inserted correctly and the cover is closed.
The cleaning unit is not installed.
Media has jammed while passing through the
duplexer.
Clear jam from output areas.
Clear jam from the paper feed area.
Check the printer icon for location of jam and clear
jammed media from all highlighted locations.
The duplexer door is open and must be closed.
One or more of the side doors is open and must be
closed.
