SPEAR™ Single-Phase Recloser System
4. Ground the recloser. Make ground connections to the
recloser head ground connector. It will accommodate
#8 solid to 2/0 stranded conductors.
This recloser is used in conjunction with an Eaton's
Cooper Power series SPEAR single-phase recloser
control. Refer to the Grounding the control section
of this manual for comprehensive recommended
grounding instructions.
5. Ground the mounting hanger. Make ground connections
in accordance with approved utility standards.

Install the SPEAR single-phase recloser control.
Connect the control cable between the control and
the recloser. Make sure the control is grounded and
properly programmed for the planned installation.
To ensure proper installation of this cable, securely
fasten the cable coupler ring (Figure 14).
Make the high-voltage line connections. See Figure 15.
Disconnect switches and bypass switches are
recommended to facilitate switching and isolation.
