NOTE: Disabling a point could compromise fire protection, and the system will prompt you to confirm the change.
5.3.3 Changing Detector Sensitivity
NOTE: For use with NFS-320, NFS2-640, and NFS2-3030 nodes.
Selecting DETECTOR SENSITIVITY will display the corresponding menu screen. It is identical to the Point Select screen shown in
Figure 5.6, except the header will read SENSITIVITY POINT SELECT. Press the POINT SELECT soft key to scroll through and
choose the desired device type. In the POINT: NxxxLyyDzzz field, enter the address of the point you wish to change. If an event for a
detector is in the display area, that address will be the default. This allows you to quickly access the point being displayed. The NEXT
SELECTION/PREVIOUS SELECTION soft keys will increment to the next Node # or next device on the loop. The loop number will
automatically increment when the last device on the loop is passed. After the last loop number and detector number are reached, the dis-
play will issue an informational message indicating that there are no more devices. Once you type the desired address, select ACCEPT to
display the Detector Sensitivity screen, or hit <ESC> to exit.
If a device does not exist at the selected address, an Invalid Point error message will display. Press "NEXT POINT" or "PREVIOUS
POINT" to read the next/previous programmed point of that type. If communicating with an NFS-320, NFS2-640, or NFS2-3030, the
NCA-2 will automatically proceed to the next point. In either case, an error message will indicate if there are no further devices of that
type programmed.
The selected point must already be mapped in local NCA-2 programming; if the selected point is on a remote node, both that node and
the local NCA-2 must be on-line.
When the NCA-2 reads a valid point, its details are displayed in the resultant screen (Figure 5.8 on page 59). One is most sensitive; nine
is least sensitive. To alter one of the four settings, press the corresponding soft key; Figure 5.9 on page 59 shows the screen's format.
