IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Utensil Handles Should Be Turned Inward and Not Extend Over Adjacent Surface Burners—To reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, and spillage due to unintentional contact with the utensil, the handle of the utensil should be positioned so that it is turned inward, and does not extend over adjacent surface burners.

General Cleaning (continued) When lowering the top, grasp the sides with fingertips only. Be careful not to pinch fingers. Also, DO NOT drop or bend the cooktop when raising or lowering. This could damage the surface. DO NOT turn the burners on when the cooktop is raised for cleaning.
Avoid Service Checklist OCCURRENCE Surface burners do not light. Surface burner flame burns half way around. Surface burner flame is orange. Before you call for service, review this list. It may save you time and expense. The list includes common occurrences that are not the result of defective workmanship or materials in this appliance.
