6.1.2 Installation
Only one CD-VM00 can be installed per system.
1. Wear a grounding strap while handling the CD-VM00 and
DSP, and lay both on a flat workspace.
2. Mount the CR-2032 battery with the + side up in the BATT slot
on the CD-VM00 (refer to
Battery on page
3. Install the SO-DIMM memory on the CD-VM00 blade, start by
inserting the end with the brass connectors into the CN14 1 slot
first.
4. Push the other end down until the locks on both sides lock into
place (refer to
page 6-102).
Handle the drive and DSP carefully. To prevent
damage, do not drop the drive or apply pressure
to it.
This unit makes extensive use of CMOS
technology and is very susceptible to static;
extreme care must be taken to avoid static
discharge when handling.
