application, other causes may be responsible for the malfunction.
Possible cause
Gear unit unsuitable for the applica-
tion
Heating up by the motor
Ambient temperature too high
Distorted motor mounting
Damage to the bearings
Damage to the toothing
Toothed belt tension too high
Lubricant quantity too high
Gear unit leaking
Tightening torque too low
Bolt overtightened, tightening torque
too high

Fault correction

Remedy
Check the technical data
Check the motor wiring
Ensure sufficient cooling
Replace the motor
Ensure sufficient cooling
Contact Beckhoff Service
Wipe off the lubricant and observe
the gear unit
Contact Beckhoff Service
Retighten the bolts
Remove adhesive residues from the
threaded hole, re-tap the thread and
insert new bolt
