CAUTION
Do not use a fuse other than the specifi ed one. If an incor-
rect fuse is used, an over-current may fl ow, resulting in the
generation of heat. As a result, the plug case may deform
and/or internal components may be damaged. Prolonged
use of an incorrect fuse may result in fire and/or break-
down.
Be sure to use the specified power supply. Failure to
use the specifi ed power supply may result in fi re or elec-
tric shock. This product is designed for a DC 12 V/24 V
negative-grounded automobile.
Do not leave the product connected to the cigarette lighter
socket. Leaving the product connected may overheat the
battery of the car, resulting in failure to start the car.
*2
To prevent the battery of the car from overheating, reduce the
input voltage to 10 V to enable the car adaptor to stop operating
automatically.
Do not attempt to operate your computer while driving, as
this may result in an automobile accident. Be sure to park
the automobile in a safe location before using the com-
puter.
The cigarette lighter socket voltage may drop during cell
motor startup, engine stalling, etc. (The car adaptor auto-
matically stops operating when the input voltage falls below
10 V.) If this happens the computer data may be corrupted,
so be sure to always mount a charged battery pack in the
computer during use.
About the Car Plug
Depending on the automobile (especially European auto-
mobiles), the hole of the cigarette lighter socket may be
too large, resulting in a poor connection. In such cases,
set the adjustable portion of the plug to the [W] (i.e.,
wide) side.
