11-15. Adjusting the thread wiper

Loosen the two screws (2) and adjust
the thread wiper (1) so that the
clearance between the top of the thread
wiper (1) and the tip of the needle is
approximately 2 mm when the thread
wiper (1) is aligned with the center of
the needle at the needle bar stop
position.
NOTE:
Check that the needle bar thread guide
(3) and the thread wiper base shaft (4)
are not touching at this time.
1. Remove the side cover.
2. Loosen the set screw (1) and
adjust so that the distance from the
thread wiper to the center of the
needle is as shown
illustration.
