Connecting USB/Internet

USB connectivity
KG800 can be connected to a PC through a
USB cable in order to transfer files, contents
and to use the built-in modem. You can find
all the details related to this functionality in
the following section.
USB Media Storage
(UMS)
The UMS functionality (USB Media Storage)
allows to handle multimedia files stored in the
phone's internal memory (64MB) and
external TransFlash memory (if available),
treating it as a common USB memory key.
This function doesn't require the installation
of additional software.

won't be able to receive any call or

1. From the phone's stand-by screen,
connect the USB cable to the phone and
the PC. The PC will identify the peripheral
after some seconds.

If you use Windows 98 or Windows ME,

you need to install the phone's USB
drivers. Please refer to the installation of
PC-Sync programs in the CD-Rom. This
operation shouldn't be required in case
of Windows XP or Windows 2000. If
you have problems, try to install the
drivers anyway.
2. The phone will display "USB" on the main
LCD
3. The PC will identify the phone and the
external memory as "Removable disk" in
My Computer folder. Also, a system disk
letter will be assigned to both devices,
such as "E:\" and "F:\". After that, you can
upload or download files from the phone
treating it just as a common Windows
folder.
