To the owner The acquisition of any TATU product assures to the original purchaser the following rights: • Warranty certificate; • Instructions manual; • Technical assistance by the dealer on equipment delivery. However, the owner must check the condition of the equipment on delivery, as well as knowing the warranty terms.
To the operator Be careful with the environment Dear user! Respect the ecology. Do not throw trash away. This gesture of goodwill helps to protect our environment. Products such as oil, fuel, filters, batteries and others are spilled to the soil and can penetrate to the underground layers, compromising nature.

To the operator Never attempt to change the adjustments, clean or lubricate the equipment when the same is switched on or in movement. Be careful while driving on slopes. Risk of overturn. Prevent that chemical products (i.e.: fertilizers, treated seeds) make any contact with your skin or clothes.
Page 8
To the operator • Only trained and qualified personnel is allowed to operate the equipment. • While working or during transportation, only the presence of the operator is allowed on the tractor. • Do not allow children to play near or over the equipment while it is operating, during transportation or storage.
Page 9
To the operator Truck or trailer transportation Marchesan does not advise the equipment traffic on highways, because this practice involves serious security risks in addition to being prohibited by the current existing traffic law. The transportation for long distances should be done on truck, trailer or others by following these safety guidelines: •...

To the operator Safety stickers The safety stickers warn about the equipment points that requires more attention and they should be kept in good repair. If these stickers become damaged or illegible, replace them. Marchesan provide stickers, upon request and indication of the respective serial number.

Working preparation Hitching to the tractor Hitch the drawbar to the traction bar of the tractor using the pin (A) and cotter pin. In order to make it easier to hitch, use the adjustment of the jack (B). NOTE • The round hole of the tractor hitching must face upwards. •...
Working preparation Leveling the DCA² After coupling the drawbar, check the horizontal leveling of the spreader. If required, make any adjustment as follows: Consult the tractor's instruction manual and be sure about the possible working positions with the traction bar. Use the height that provides the best leveling of the equipment. Coupling the cardan shaft to the PTO First of all, verify the length of the cardan shaft in the following way: •...
Working preparation Reducing the cardan shaft length If it is necessary, cut similar parts of the male and female shaft as well as the protection covers. But before cutting the shaft, verify all possibilities of usage without reducing its length. The length adjustment will be done when the distance between the equipment and tractor do not allow coupling.
Working preparation Correct assembly of the cardan When assembling the cardan shaft, it is necessary to be careful and leave the terminals on both ends aligned. The discrepancy of the terminals in 90º will cause vibrations and a greater wear on the universal joints, reducing the life cycle of the set. Correct assembly Observe the internal forks alignment...
Working preparation PTO rotation Keep the PTO rotation speed constant at 540 rpm. NOTE Consult the tractor manual to check the engine rotation. Final inspection Before filling up the spreader, verify the following points: 1) If the conveyor is adjusted; according to the instructions on page 34. 2) If the belt tension is adjusted properly;...
Adjustments and operations Speed of the rotating discs (cardan) The speed of the discs is directly related to the PTO rotation. Conveyor speed (cardan) The speed of the conveyor is related to the PTO rotation and to the sprockets "A" and "B"...
Adjustments and operations Speed of the rotating discs (hydraulic command) The speed of the discs is directly related to the oil flow rate from the tractor hydraulic command. Conveyor speed (hydraulic command) The speed of the conveyor is related to the tractor flow rate and to the sprockets "A"...
Adjustments and operations Position of fins at the discs The rotating discs feature 04 adjustable fins to provide uniformity during the application, both at high and low dosages. The change of the fin angles at the discs provide changes in the application band width and in the direction of the product.
Page 30
Adjustments and operations Distance between distribution bands The distance between distribution bands must be observed to provide a homogeneous distribution in the whole area, so that the same amount can be distributed per m² of soil. In practice, however, a variation of up to 25% in the distribution amount is acceptable and that occurs especially between distribution bands (overlapping band).
Adjustments and operations Gate opening The cover of the gate has the function to limit the amount of product carried by the conveyor. Its activation is made by a thread that allows light movements to open or close the exit. The opening of the gate is indicated on the graduated scale (0 to 15 cm), which has divisions every half centimeter.
Adjustments and operations Application tables The amount of product to be distributed (kg/hectares) takes into account the following points: 1) Tractor speed: 6 to 7 km/h. 2) Rotation speed of the tractor's PTO: 540 RPM. 3) The transmission sprockets combination, which defines the conveyor speed. 4) The opening of the gate, determined by the graduated scale (Check the table).

Adjustments and operations Calculation for different distributions In case of using a tractor speed and a distance between distribution bands different from the previous tables, follow the calculation below to find the scale opening: Example: Dosage = 2,700 kg per hectare. (dry lime). Tractor speed = 06 km/h (constant).
Adjustments and operations Conveyor tension adjustment Before starting to work, check the tension of the conveyor in the following way: • Shut down the tractor engine and PTO. • Under the bin, on its intermediary section, push the conveyor upward and check if there is a clearance of up to 50 mm.
Adjustments and operations Belt tension adjustment To adjust the tension of the transmission belt, proceed as follows: • Loosen the pulley nut (A), along with the internal nut of the tightener (B). • Soon after, adjust the belt tension and retighten the nuts. NOTE Tension allowed = 3.5 cm as shown below.
Adjustments and operations Changing the belt (C-128) of the rotating discs • Loosen the tightener (A) and the pulley nut (B) to remove the belt. Sequence for placing the C-128 belt: 1) Place the belt in the transmission hub (C). 2) Fit the lower part of the belt on the right spreader pulley (D).
Adjustments and operations Operations - Important points • Retighten nuts and bolts before starting to use the spreader and after the first day of work. Also, verify the conditions of the pins and cotter pins. • Carefully observe the lubrication intervals. •...

Optional Driver The driver is used for fertilizer application in a directed line, mainly under the top of the plants. Tires The 11L-15 tires (10 tarps) are supplied optionally to the DCA² 2500 MC and DCA² 5500 MC models to work on soils that are more sensitive to compaction. DCA²...
Optional Damper The damper is indispensable to apply lime when the weather is windy. It is used to aid in the retention of lime and fertilizer, assuring more uniformity during the distribution. DCA² 2500, 5500, 7500 & 10500 MC Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.
Maintenance Lubrication In order to extend the life time of your spreader and avoid interruptions during working, lubricate the spreader properly, as indicated below. • Every 24 operating hours, lubricate the articulations through the grease fittings in the following way: •...
Page 44
Maintenance Lubricate every 24 operating hours NOTE Use lithium soap based grease type NLGI2-EP, which has a higher washing resistance and larger stability to oxidation. DCA² 2500, 5500, 7500 & 10500 MC Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.
Maintenance Periodic maintenance Periodic maintenance is done on mechanisms suffering large requests and are more protected from the external environment, therefore requiring maintenance less often. GEARBOX: The gearbox must be inspected every time the spreader is put into operation. If the oil level is low, fill up the gearbox.
Maintenance MAIN CARDAN SHAFT: • Clean the cardan every 15 days or before, if necessary. • Remove the protection covers. • Separate "male" and "female", wash and remove crusts, dry them, lubricate the moving parts with grease and reassemble it. WHEEL HUBS: •...
