  • Page 13 Adjusting the oven temperature Does your oven seem hotter or colder than your old oven? The temperature of your old oven may have shifted gradually without you noticing the change. Your new oven is properly adjusted to provide accurate temperatures. But, when compared to your old oven, the new design may give you different results.
  • Page 14 Custom broil If food is cooking too fast, turn the Oven Temperature Control Knob counterclockwise until the OVEN HEATING Indicator Light goes off. If you want the food to broil slower from the start, set the Oven Temperature Control Knob between 170°F and 325°F (77°C and 163°C).

Here are some tips to help you conserve energy when using your cooking product. Use pans with flat bottoms, straight sides and tight-fitting lids.

  • Page 20 2. Remove the broiler pan grid and any pots and pans being stored in the oven. NOTE: The broiler pan (without grid) can be cleaned in the oven if most of the soil is removed first by handcleaning or a diih- washer.
  • Page 21 Move the Lock Lever to the right-the Clean position. The OVEN HEATING Indicator Light will come on. When the oven temperature exceeds normal baking/roasting temperatures, the door cannot be opened and the Lock Lever must not be moved. After the Self-Cleaning cycle is completed and the oven has cooled sufficiently, Lock Lever can be moved back to the left.
