4. If the cable is too tight or loose when clutch is
engaged, adjust the cable with the cable adjuster.
3�2�14 To troubleshoot the stop function
1. Locate the throttle control and start the engine.
2. Turn the throttle control to the minimum.
3. If the engine does not stop, do a check that the
clutch arm can move freely.
4. Loosen the fitting bolt and tighten it again.

3�2�15 To troubleshoot the reverse gear
1. If the reverse gear handle is hard to use, loosen the
gear handle bolt.
2. Adjust the handle.
3. Tighten the gear handle bolt.
3�2�16 To troubleshoot abnormal noise
Type of noise
Clear and rhytmed knocking
noise from the cylinder.
Unclear knocking noise from
the cylinder.
Screeching noise from the
engine
Knocking sound that
becomes louder when the
throttle is increased.

Cause and action
The oil injects too early.
Adjust the advance angle.
The oil injects to late. Adjust
the advance angle
The bush of the piston pin is
too loose. Change the bush.
The clearance between
piston and cylinder is too big.
Change the piston or the
cylinder liner.
The gap of the connecting
rod bush is too big. Do a
check of the bush and
change it if necessary.
