Electrical system
Pull out the engine body from the clutch
cover.
Check the air gap.

Check whether the cables (A) and (B)
are damaged.
Dismantle the ignition module.

Dismantle the flywheel
First dismantle the clutch drum. Use
two big screwdrivers or an appropriate
puller.
NOTE!
It may be difficult to pull off the
clutch drum.

Pull out the engine body from the clutch
cover.
The ignition system will now be easily
accessible for further servicing.
Check the air gap between the ignition
module and the flywheel's magnet.
The gap should be 0.3 mm.
Failure to produce an ignition spark may
occur, if the gap is too small or too
large.
Dismantle the cables (A) and (B) from
the ignition module.
Check whether they are damaged by
using an ohmmeter. Replace if
necessary.
Unscrew the screw (C) and remove the
ignition module.
Dismantle the flywheel
The clutch must be removed first in
order to dismantle the flywheel.
Remove the muffler and hold the
cylinder in a vice.
Use a puller or two big screwdrivers
and pry off the clutch drum.
NOTE!
Check that the screwdrivers/puller
only rest against the clutch drum
and not against the clutch shoes or
the large washer under the clutch.
