To set initial recall buffer values

Modify the "entries" resource for the particular recall buffer.
There are six popup recall buffers present in the Graphical User Interface.
The resources for these popup recall buffers are listed in the following table.
The window manager resource "*transientDecoration" controls the borders
around dialog box windows. The most natural setting for this resource is
"title."

Setting X Resources
To set initial recall buffer values
Description
The default number of text
columns in the popup is 50.
The default number of visible lines
in the popup is 12.
The "entries" resource is defined
as a list of strings (see the
following example).
Up to 40 unique values are saved
in each of the recall buffers (as
specified by the resource settings
"*XcRecall.maxDepth: 40" and
"*XcRecall.onlyUnique: True").
