The DI-P is equipped with a 6.35 mm TS jack input with 50 kilohm impedance, suitable for devices such as electric guitars, (mono) keyboard signals, etc.

Devine recommends to start with -40 dB attenuation. This way, you will start with the least powerful volume level possible and you can see on your mixing console if the signal is strong enough. If not, you can switch the attenuation to -20 dB and see if the signal is strong enough, but not overpowering the inputs on your processing equipment.
