ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK

Check the engine oil level with the engine stopped and in a level position.
1. Open the maintenance cover to access the oil level dipstick.
2. Remove the oil level dipstick and wipe it clean.
3. Fully insert the dipstick, then remove it to check the oil level.
4. If the level is near or below the lower limit mark on the dipstick, remove the
oil filler cap, and fill with the recommended oil (see page 18) to the upper
limit mark on the oil level dipstick.
MAINTENANCE COVER
5. Reinstall the oil level dipstick and filler cap.
6. Close the maintenance cover.

LOWER LIMIT
The Oil Alert system will automatically stop the engine before the oil level falls
below safe limits. However, to avoid the inconvenience of an unexpected
shutdown, check the oil level regularly.
