    Using your microwave oven Microwave oven controls There are three parts in the control sectron. -The Digital Display/Clock, Indicator Lights - Command Pads - Number Pads These will be covered on the following pages.     Important things to remember to get the best cooking ALWAYS cook food for the minimum recommended time in one or two minute periods, then check for doneness food. Stir, turn or rearrange the food being for most even doneness with all recipes. If a glass cover is not available, use waxpaper, a corner to vent steam during cooking.
  • Page 8 Defrosting and cooking at lower cook powers For best results, some recipes call for lower Cook Powers. The Lower the Cook Power, the slower the cooking. Each Number percentage of Cook Power (IO%, 50%, SO%, etc.). Many recipes tell you, by name, which Cook Power to use. Recipes may tell you by number (5,6, 7, etc.).
