Checking and adjusting the choke
cable, Kawasaki
If the engine produces black smoke or is
difficult to start, this can be because the
choke cable is incorrectly adjusted (upper
cable).
If adjustments are necessary, they can be
made as follows:
1.
Loosen the clamping screw for the
cable's outer casing and move the choke
lever to the full choke position.
2.
Check that the choke cable is mounted
in the upper lever, see illustration.
3.
Pull the choke cable's outer casing as far
to the right as possible and tighten the
clamping screw.
Replacing the Articulated Steering
Bearings
1.
Remove the engine as previously
described "Removing the Kawasaki
engine".
2.
Jack up the rider in front of the
articulated steering.
3.
Remove the belt guide and skid guard if
fitted.
4.
Pull off the drive belt from the engine's
belt pulley.
