Assembling Kawasaki Engine

iMPOrTANT iNFOrMATiON
When mounting the engine, it is essential
the belt pulley groove (1) is in such a
position that the output shaft key (2) fits
into the groove (see illustration). Also
check that both spacer pipes (3) and key
(2) are fixed to the engine shaft. Grease the
engine shaft.
1.
Lower the engine and torque tighten the
engine mountings (two on each side of
the engine) (25 Nm / 18 lb ft).
The negative batter cable is connected to
the front left screw.
2.
Fit the belt pulley with tool
no. 506 56 76-01 and torque tighten
(80 Nm / 56 lb ft). Use tool
no. 506 89 92-01 as counterhold.
Mount both belts onto the belt pulley.
3.
Press in the belt tensioner and mount the
pump belt.
